How to make a Decorative Clipboard

You will need:
a clipboard, sandpaper, mod podge, a sponge brush, an old credit card or something similar, 2 sheets of 12x12 cardstock scrapbooking paper, and some fabric (thin cotton).

1st - Take your clipboard(I usually get mine from SamsClub) and lightly sand it to get the shiny finish off of it.  Make sure to blow off the dust.  The mod podge does not stick very good if you don't do this.

2nd - Get your scrapbooking paper, mod podge, credit card, and brush ready.  Decide which piece of scrapbooking paper you want for the front and back.  Brush a lot of mod podge onto the front of the clip board.  Make sure it is completely covered.  Put your paper on it.  Then take your credit card and starting in the middle squeeze the excess glue out.  You will have to clean up the glue.  Make sure there are no bubbles under the paper.   *** (make sure to completely cover your clip board with mod podge or you will have bubbles.  Dragging your credit card over the outside to get the glue out, is an important step.  It helps to insure you get the glue spread out.  Again, make sure there are no bubbles.) *** Let dry. Cut the excess paper off.

3rd - Repeat for the back.

4th - Cut fabric in to pieces that are 1 inch x 6 inches.  It doesn't have to be exact.  Tie it in knots around the metal clipboard part until it is completely covered.
